Students discussed the big idea of community. They also learned about features of architecture. Each student made a building to add to a class community out of their patterned paper, marker, and scrap construction paper.
Students learned part of the artistic process - brainstorming to create ideas.
Students collaborated to create objects and buildings to put into their classwide community. All the students' works came together into large paper murals that were hung in G.H. Reid's hallways.
